CLEANSE
CLEANSE is a series of video projections that use images, messages, color, and light to support collective visual healing in public spaces. CLEANSE includes images of artwork, animated projections, and films from local artists to encourage dialogue around the push for new collective histories and continued fight for equity and anti-racism in our city.
On July 11, 2020, We projected onto the 9th Street Market to visually CLEANSE the former site of the Frank Rizzo mural one month after its removal. Our aim is to push for new collective histories and continue fighting for anti-racism in our city. This community affirmed and local artist-led activation featured my work along with the works of Ursula Rucker, Ricardo Rivera, Laura Deutch, Gabrielle Patterson, Naomieh Jovin, and Kevin Nguyen. the cleanse team includes Michelle Angela ortiz, Ricardo Rivera, Paul Farber, Laura Deutch, and Lori Waselchuk.
