JOURNEY SOUTH: DIFFERENT PATHS, ONE MARKET
JOURNEYS SOUTH: Different Paths, One Market is a public art installation I CREATED along with photographer Tony Rocco. Eight awnings covered the vendor stalls lining the 9TH STREET MARKET, THE OLDEST OUTDOOR MARKET IN THE UNITED STATES. Each stand was transformed from workplace shelters into an outdoor gallery of Market memories. This was one of four projects featured in JOURNEYS SOUTH a project produced by the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program that examines the evolving immigrant histories of South Philadelphia through four unique interactive public art projects.
