ORGULLO OTOMI
In 2015, I created murals through the “de la memoria al muro” project by Habitajes. I worked with the mazahua and Otomi indigenous migrant community in Mexico City. In May 2018, I returned to create a mural with the otomi community of San Santiago, Queretaro, Mexico. The mural is located in the main plaza of San Santiago and represents the importance of holding on to indigenous traditions that are slowly disappearing. This is a side of Mexico that is not often seen, an indigenous Mexico that is living and thriving.
